Together with viaSportBC, PISE is taking part in a project called Changing the Game. Changing the Game aims to find new ways for children and youth to increase their participation in sport.
As part of this project, we are asking children and youth (age 5-30) to design a sport experience that would work best for them. At camp next week, we will seek input from participants on what they would like to see from sport programs using a range of fun activities (for example, drawing on a mural, answering short questions or voting by placing bean bags in a hula hoop).
We would also like to get input from parents and guardians at drop-off or pick-up (via a quick chat, sticker voting).
Participation by both kids and parents/guardians is optional. No identifying information will be collected, and we do not anticipate any difficult or triggering conversations taking place.
This engagement will be happening on March 30 & 31, 2023. If you would like to participate, we ask for your consent regarding you and your child(ren)’s participation below, but everyone will also have a choice to pass on participating at the time of the events. Reminders will be available on the days of the activities.
