What do we offer?
The Spanish Immersion for Preschoolers and After Schoolers is a school year-round program, which runs from September to June. It’s a highly interactive program developed with experience, passion and love in order to preserve and spread Spanish Language. Offering a lovely and safe space for kids to flourish.
We have adapted and enriched a Mexican preschool /elementary curriculum to follow, working in a comprehensive manner developing areas such as fine and motor skills, math thinking, language and communication, personal and social development, exploration and knowledge of the world and expression and artistic appreciation. (Plus Literacy, reading comprehension and Grammar for after schoolers)
In order to be successful with the program, parents’ commitment is needed from start to finish, not forgetting that participation and punctuality is appreciated as well.
Schedule
Kids are separated into two different groups based on age range.
Ages 2.5-5 yrs.:
The preschool children shedule is Saturdays 9-11:30 am
Ages 6 - 9 yrs:
The schedule is Saturdays 9-11:30 am

Fees
Registration/supply fee $ 90 +GST (Non-refundable.)
This annual registration fee includes your kid’s registration as well as a variety of other administrative fees, supplies and materials incurred throughout the academic year.
Monthly fees
Monthly totals for the school year (September to June) are added up and divided into equal payments, taking into account the shorter and longer months.
Monthly fee $185+ GST
Class sizes ranged from 10-14 children and a minimum of 5 children are needed to open the group.
Payment methods:
Once accepted into our Spanish Immersion program in order to confirm your child/children’s enrolment a non-refundable deposit equal to one month’s tuition will be required at the time of registration. This is in addition to the registration fee and will be applied to your June tuition.
This payment could be made either direct e-transfer to c.vallin@wordsinmotionbc.com or by cheque payable to “Life in Motion Education Inc.”
You will be required to supply 9 post-dated cheques for the upcoming 9 month’s fee. (September-May). Fees to be deposited at the beginning of each month.
Cheques must be made payable to “Life in Motion Education Inc.”, dated the first day of each month. (All NSF cheques are subject to a $30.00 administration fee and these charges will be added to the student’s next invoice.)
In the case of absenteeism (including illness, vacations and holidays), the fee is still due.
Returning families will have priority for registering.
Withdrawal of the program
1) Failure to work with Words in Motion staff to meet the needs of one’s child i.e. failure to pick up a sick child
2) Breakdown of Parent / Teacher relations
3) Unpaid fees, consistent late payments
4) Continual aggressive behaviours such as biting, hitting, punching, etc.
If it becomes necessary for a family to withdraw a child in the school year, the family must provide one month’s written notice on the 1st of the preceding month (i.e. November 1st notice for December 1st withdrawal) to either the Director. All post- dated cheques will be returned. If any child is withdrawn after January 31st, fees for the balance of the year may be forfeited, at the discretion of executive.
Participation Release Waiver
As the Authorized Signatory of the listed attending student.
I attest that I/ and the Student;
* will NOT attend if we are experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
* will NOT attend if we believe we have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of COVID
* will NOT attend if we have been diagnosed with Covid and not yet cleared as non-contagious by local doctors and public health authorities
I hereby release and agree not to hold Life in Motion Education Inc. directors, owners, employees, volunteers, host facilities or others acting on their behalf, liable for any physical or mental injury, paralysis, death, or loss or destruction of any personal property that may occur during, resulting from or in connection to the Services. I hereby voluntarily release and forever discharge Life in Motion Education Inc. harmless for any and all causes of action, which are in any way connected with the services. I understand that this release discharges Life in Motion Education Inc. from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against Life in Motion Education Inc. with respect to Covid-19 and any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Life in Motion Eduacation Inc. This liability waiver and release extends to the events, all directors, partners, employees, locations and volunteers.
It is mutually agreed that in the event of an accident or illness of a child while in the care of Life in Motion Education Inc. staff, the facilitators shall use their best efforts to contact the parent immediately. In the event the parent is not immediately available, however, Life in Motion Education Inc. facilitators are authorized to secure such care as the situation may reasonably warrant. When the parents cannot be immediately contacted, Life in Motion Education Inc. facilitators will use their best efforts to contact your emergency contact as listed on the registration form. The parent agrees that where the Life in Motion Education Inc. facilitators have acted in good faith to comply with an accident and/or illness procedure, it shall not be liable for any accident or illness to the child, any and all liability as might otherwise exist expressly waived by the parent.

First Day of classes
Our first day of sessions is
Saturday September 7th. 9 am for both groups
Timely Arrival
Please assist your child in arriving to school on time. Schedules and routines are extremely important to a child’s development and academic achievement. If your child will be late or absent, please call us at 778 2284910.
Absences and Illness
For the health of all children please DO NOT send your child to school if they exhibit the following symptoms:
Watery eyes, deep cough, inflamed nostrils, heavy nasal discharge, fever, rash, contagious disease, head lice and any COVID symtoms.
Please call, text or e-mail if your child will be absent.
Accident and Emergency Procedure
An emergency injury or illness that occurs during school hours will be reported to you immediately. Please make sure we have all emergency forms and current phone numbers.

Clothing
We recommend athletic type shoes with rubber soles and closed toes, rather than sandals, NO flip-flops. Please mark clothing and belongings to avoid loss.
Indoor shoes are a must when inside. No rain boots.
Communication
We would like communication to be two-way. Emails will keep you informed of all planned school activities. Please feel free to contact me with any joys or concerns about your child.
School Release
A written note, email or text will be required from you any day someone else will be picking up your child. This person must then show their valid ID at the time of pick up. Teachers cannot release your child to a stranger.
Food
A healthy snack is recommended for preschool students, no need of big meals. (No candy or junk food; NUT FREE). We encorage whole food, no packed or processed. Healthy habits start at home, and we can help you keeping them. Water, in a spill proof water bottle, please MARK all belongings.
Cupcakes/birthday cakes are welcome, please notify us beforehand .
Toys
Toys from home are NOT allowed. For special Show and Tell days, toys would be showen but not shared. We are not reasponsable for any loss.
Tuition and Payment Procedure
Tuition is due the first week of every month. If any circumstances prevent continued enrollment, notice must be given by the fifteenth of the month prior to withdrawal or the next month’s tuition will be invoiced. Current tuition rates are listed on the registration form. Please note that the registration/supply fee is non-refundable.

SAFETY GUIDELINES
Please take note that some safety guidelines could change over the school year course.
- We would be providing hand sanitizer and sanitizing our materials after being used.
- Hand Washing would be done upon arrival and leaving.
- We would be assisting on washrooms if they need to.
- Professional cleaning is done before and after the classroom is used.
- Students are encouraged to practice proper hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette by covering coughs or sneezes.
