General Terms & Conditions

Please read this document carefully and then complete the form and sign the agreement below.
No work will be undertaken without this signed agreement to the terms and conditions.

Inspection & diagnosis of problems

JL Innovation does not generally charge for time to diagnose an issue we go on to fix, unless it takes more than 30 minutes to diagnose. 
If the customer chooses not to proceed with JL Innovation repairing the issue, we will generally charge for time to diagnose, to avoid us spending valuable time finding issues for customers to have their friend/relation fix it for them. 

Hourly Rates:
All work is carried out at the current rates displayed in the office of JL Innovation Ltd, unless agreed in advance in writing, or a job is being completed to a written quote.
All jobs will be charged at the length of time taken to complete that job, at the current rate per person, including any time required to set up or clear up for that specific job. 

Parts & consumables:
JL Innovation Ltd will only use and fit parts supplied by themselves through their own suppliers, unless previously agreed in writing.
Customer supplied parts will not be used except in exceptional circumstances.
Where consumables and/or disposal are required, these will be charged as a single sum titled 'consumables & disposal'.
All parts removed from a vehicle become and remain the property of JL Innovation Ltd, who will dispose of them as they wish.

Payment:
Payment is due on collection of all vehicles and parts.
Where a job is ongoing over multiple working weeks, invoices will be produced weekly and payment is to be made before commencement of work the following week.
JL Innovation Ltd reserves the right to retain any vehicle until payment is made and cleared in full.
JL Innovation Ltd retains ownership of all parts supplied and/or fitted until payment is made and cleared in full.
Storage of vehicles will be charged at £20 per day. 

Deposits:
Deposits may be required for some jobs. These deposits are non-refundable.
Special ordered parts will require payment prior to ordering. These payments are also non-refundable.
Certain services such as tuning require payment at the time of booking. These payments are non-refundable (please see seperate dyno & tuning disclaimer).

Warranties:
In the unlikely event of a problem with work done by JL Innovation Ltd or parts supplied by us, we will always work with the customer to resolve these issues as quickly as possible.
In the first instance the vehicle should be returned to JL Innovation Ltd for inspection and to allow us the opportunity to rectify the issue.
JL Innovation Ltd cannot be held responsible for any issues with parts supplied, or other issues arising from them.
Where possible, JL Innovation Ltd would always work with part suppliers own warranty schemes with regards to any failures.
No warranties are offered where customer supplied parts are used.

Agreement: 
I have read and understood and accept the conditions and responsibilities stated above. 
I confirm that I agree JL Innovation Ltd and their staff may be unaware of underlying issues with my vehicle. As such JL Innovation Ltd and their staff cannot be held responsible for such issues with vehicles or components they have worked on.
